Since I have received numerious inquiries about my English Horn set-up, I have written a few sentences to clear up any confusion.

Throughout my career, I have always played oboes and English Horns by F. Lorée - Paris. I appreciate the evenness in the scale and tone quality. I truly love the sparkle in the tone, as well.

Although I own several shaper tips made by various manufacturers, my favorite is an RDG #1 which I bought many years ago. I use that tip almost exclusively.

For a number of years, I have been playing on bocals made by Thom Hiniker (Rochester, Minnesota). While he makes many different bocals, my favorites are number 2B 11 11. I like the stability of pitch, the evenness and the ring in the tone.
